13 Slot BYOD Picatinny Accessory Rail Assembly - Ford Bronco
The rail that started it all! With only a spare kit for my personal firearm and a surprising lack of affordable BYOD options on the market I made my own solution! Easily fits 2 large cell phones, perhaps 3 accessories if they are smaller. Lets be honest, most of us don’t need an accessory rail that spans the whole dashboard. Keep it simple and clean with your choice of beveled and square designs.
Assembly options only. For phone mounts (click here). If interested in the base only as a DIY project (click here).
Buyers Guide:
*PLA looks great and is very strong and stiff, but it can soften at the higher temperatures common on vehicle dashboards, especially in warmer climates. PLA option is by email request only
*PETG is more resistant to higher vehicle temperatures than PLA, but may not be suitable for the hottest climates.
*ASA offers the best thermal resistance of these options, like ABS it is more tricky to print with.
Details on any of these three materials, including in automotive applications, are available online. Please read up on these before deciding what is right for you. Feedback on additional materials or design considerations is welcome!
